초록 | This study was performed to determine the optimum sowing time for spring sowing wheat in southern region of Korea. Jokyoung and Keumkangmil were sowing four times at one week interval from Feb. 14, 2013. Heading and maturing date were delayed by 1 to 2 days per week as the seeding was delayed. The accumulative temperature from sowing to heading date was the highest in sowing on March 7 with 900 to 916℃, and that from heading to maturity was highest in sowing on February 14 with 1,492 to 1,515℃. Thousand grain weights of wheat varieties were the highest in February 14 seeding ranged from 36.6 to 40g, and significantly decreased as seeding time was delayed, but littering grain weight was slightly decreased. Unmatured grain percentage was increased sharply in sowing on March 7. Grain yields were the highest in Keumkangmil with 3.07 MT/ha for sowing on February 21, and in Jokyoung with 3.37 MT/ha for sowing on February 14. In both cultivars, grain yield decreased drastically on March 7 seeding. The content of wheat protein was not changed by sowing date, but ash content increased with the delay of sowing date. The flour gluten index was the highest with 96.2 in Keumkangmil at February 28 seeding and the SDS sedimentation was the lowest ranged from 63.8 to 65.3 ml at February 28 seeding. Falling number tended to increase with the delay of sowing period. Flour milling rate was gradually decreased with the delay of sowing, and bran was gradually decreased. After Feb. 28, grain and flour yields were sharply decreased. In the southern region, the optimum time for spring sowing of wheat was from Feb. 14 to Feb. 21. |
